  4.     DIED. Herman ("Hank") Greenspun, 79, blunt, outspoken
  5. publisher of the Las Vegas Sun; in Las Vegas. Greenspun bought
  6. the newspaper in 1950 with a $1,000 down payment and launched
  7. a front-page column, "Where I Stand," that bristled with strong,
  8. even outrageous opinion. In a 1950s piece, he predicted that a
  9. victim of Senator Joseph McCarthy's denunciations would
  10. assassinate McCarthy and recommended that the Senator commit
  11. suicide first.
